Judge denies motion against Nevada GOP (Daily Sparks Tribune)

RENO — A judge denied a motion Friday to halt the Nevada Republican Party from appointing delegates to the national convention, saying the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case.

RENO (AP) — A Nevada judge says he won’t stop the state Republican Party from appointing delegates to the GOP National Convention. Washoe County District Judge Jerry Polaha said today the court has no jurisdiction to hear a lawsuit challenging the state’s party’s decision to appoint delegates.
